The guild’s collection of quiltmaker stories allows members to see who we are as quilters—our backgrounds, inspiration, teachers, techniques, stashes, guild leadership roles and activities, and our friendships.

Our earliest quiltmaker stories come from statewide interviews by the California Heritage Quilt Project. After CHQP completed its interviews, the SFQG has continued to collect member stories.

If you’d like to share your story, please get in touch with guild historian Jeanie Low; her contact info is in the Membership Directory.

In addition to reading the profiles above, you can consult the history binder in the guild library to learn about SFQG members Tish (Leticia) Chung and Florence Morris.
