Curbside Outreach: Tentative
Curbside Outreach: Tentative
This date is tentative, due to pandemic restrictions. The San Francisco Quilters Guild has a long history of making and donating quilts to organizations in San Francisco and the larger community. And this tradition continues in a new form while the pandemic prevents indoor gatherings. Called Curbside Outreach, it’s an opportunity to drop off completed work or donations and pick up any or all components for your next project. Manned by co-chairs Jessica and Adrienne, it typically takes places on the first and third Saturday of the month, from 10 a.m. to noon, in front of Adrienne’s garage. You’ll find Adrienne’s address in the Membership Directory.

Crayon-Tinted Embroidery
Crayon-Tinted Embroidery
Pattie Klimek teaches a crayon-tint technique along with a bold, blue teacup embroidery pattern. She‘ll supply the pattern, show you how to transfer it, and how to apply the Crayola crayon colors on muslin to get the color and shading just right. Then participants will add some simple embroidery stitches to make the pattern come alive. If you have beginning embroidery experience, this class is for you. Don't worry if your skills are a little rusty; Pattie will review the stitches needed to make this surprisingly easy project. Free, for members only, via Zoom. Please click this link to register.
