From fast fashion to sustainable stitching with Radha Weaver

November 10 @ 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Join us for a lecture by Radha Weaver : From fast fashion to sustainable stitching

This lecture follows Radha’s journey from a 15-year career in the apparel industry to building a creative practice rooted in denim, salvaged materials, and reuse. She shares how stepping away from fast fashion led her to find her own artistic voice, and how the materials already in your hands might be the key to finding yours. Expect honesty, humor, and practical ideas for working with what you already have.

About Radha Weaver

Radha is a passionate advocate for sustainable quilting and fashion, and a big fan of quilting your jeans. After a 15-year career in the apparel and textile industry at Levi’s, she founded Sewing through Fog in 2022 to reconnect with her creative roots. She approaches everything with authenticity, humor, and heart, as she helps quilters transform old fabrics into new treasures. She also runs FeelGood Fibers, an online destash marketplace for quilters to buy and sell secondhand fabric and notions.

Find out more about Radha on her website or on Instagram as @sewingthroughfog.
