Join us for a lecture by Joanna Figueroa: Color and Design the Fig Tree Way.
Joanna will explore how she views color in a nontraditional way, and will talk about her take on “Fresh Vintage” design as well as her design and fabric design process. Join us as Joanna walks us through her unique way of looking at the color wheel and how she views warm and cool colors. Follow along as she walks the audience through her principles of color, design, and quilt inspiration, and shows examples of the lecture principles through an extensive trunk show of 35+ quilts.

About Joanna Figueroa:
Joanna Figueroa often says that she can’t remember a time when she wasn’t creating something with her hands but it wasn’t until she discovered fabric that she felt like she had “come home.”
She is a licensed designer for MODA fabrics, beloved for her numerous fabric collections–more than 55 to date–in her signature Fresh Vintage™ style.
Joanna co-owns and operates Fig Tree & Company along with her husband Eric, who is her right hand man in all of their business endeavors. Fig Tree & Co. specializes in a fresh take on traditional quilting, sewing patterns and block of the month programs. Fig Tree currently offers more than 300 stand alone patterns.
Joanna has written several books; over the years her work and fabrics have been featured in industry publications such as American Patchwork & Quilting, Quilts & More, American Quilt Retailer, and Quiltmania among others.
