Ssamsol Jogakbo (Bojagi) Workshop, with Youngmin Lee
July 9 @ 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Ssamsol is a durable and decorative seam technique where you use two different seam allowances. One seam allowance is twice the width of the other one, so it can cover the smaller seam allowance.
Jogakbo, or patchwork bojagi, embodies the philosophy of recycling, as they are made from remnants of leftover fabric. Thoughtfully arranged shapes and colors in bojagi often show very modern and abstract compositions.
Please note this is a handsewn technique. No sewing machines will be used. The Materials Kit is included in the cost of the workshop. Everyone signed up will receive their Kit in the mail 2-3 weeks before the class. There will be nothing extra to purchase for the class.
Register here. Class fee $85 (includes materials fee of $30 + $5 shipping cost). This workshop is a 7-hour live-stream event, conducted on Zoom, consisting of live instruction (no recording, please). Learn more about Youngmin from her website.
Registration for Non-Member will be open on May 18. Class fee $95 (includes materials fee of $30 + $5 shipping cost). Register here.
